popped in today after a dog walk. absolutely stunning, the menu is beyond brilliant and food is amazing! will definitely be returning! The staff are all really friendly and accommodating. one of the best menus I've seen in a long time.

We had the chicken burger and the ploughman's... they were great .. the kids had the burger and chicken strips, all came out very well presented and the food was lovely... the new manger was great too made us feel very welcome.... we will be back

Had great fun on new year's eve. Food was excellent, staff were exceptional. This Pub is immaculate since the refurb and new management takeover. By far the best pub for miles and miles around.

The quality of the food and service is excellent at this public house on the A30 just outside Hook. Thoroughly recommend the shepherds pie, scampi, fish pie and the wonderful spicy fries. Very good choice of beers and spirits and delicious cocktails. Decent size car park and the beer garden has the River Whitewater running the length of it with plenty of tables.

Really lovely atmosphere and decor. Staff helpful and food was really high quality, can recommend the bangers with bubble and squeak, and the venison/mushroom stroganoff. Will 100% be coming back.

Absolutely delicious fish pie and Gluten free sticky toffee pudding here, washed down with a wonderful well rounded Grenache white wine. Service was with a smile, and Loos clean and well resourced. Why can’t all pubs be like this?

It (somewhat) recently changed hands, and we finally had a chance to try it. Despite the fact that the place was heaving, they managed to find a table for us, but we had to be quick because it was booked in an hour.

Despite this, we received an excellent lasagna, venison goulash, and tater tots. The food was really tasty. We'll have to return some time when we can have desserts.

What a lovely surprise. Stopped by as my car was in a garage near by and needed to kill some time and I’m so glad I did. This place oozes comfort and loveliness. Staff are so friendly and professional. The food was outstanding , I wasn’t expecting such a high standard. I only ordered a tuna and sweetcorn toastie is and it can beautifully presented with some crisps, salad and dressing. 11/10!!! Can’t wait to return with friends and family and spend more time here. P.s excuse the mostly eaten sand which, it was so yummy I couldn’t help myself. Thanks
