Very pleased to have chosen Safestore for my storage needs. Every staff member I spoke to was super helpful and friendly, and they recommended a removals team which were absolutely amazing. Ossie and his team made a really emotional move out of a flat much less stressful. They were really kind and calm and made me feel at ease and I'm very grateful! They also have incredible tetris skills and were very reasonably priced. I will definitely go to them for when I move again!

I recently booked a 35 sq ft storage unit at Safestore's Holloway Road facility in London, expecting a clean and secure space for my belongings. Instead, I was shocked to find the unit in a disgraceful condition—with part of the wall damp and broken, the floor covered in dust and rubbish from the previous renters, and with part of the ceiling tiles collapsed onto the floor. I had no choice but to leave my items in this terrible unit as they said there were no other 35 sq ft spaces available (which was not true as the next day, when the manager came back from holiday, suddenly there were several spaces in the adjacent building). After my complaint, they offered me another space the next day. I had already paid for movers to bring my belongings the first time, so it was really annoying to have to go back and move all my stuff by myself the next day to the new unit. My advice to anyone engaging with this company's Holloway Road branch is to ask them to be put in the new building (they have two buildings, one old and one new, I was put in the old first). The old one smells funny and doesn't look great. On top of that, the quote I got via email did not match with my contract's monthly cost. When I ask them, they said that the final cost was higher because the quote did not include "essential store protect" (some sort of insurance). So beware of that as well!
