Who normally reviews a Petrol Station? well this is one that's not to be missed!

Tucked away inside a seemingly ordinary Gulf Petrol station and garage just outside of York on the A19 is a delightful surprise that defies all expectations — Brooke’s Delicatessen & Purveyor. Drove past here late last night. Don't usually drive down the A19 but the A1 was closed at several locations for road works. Was really impressed with the cheap fuel prices ! Less than any local supermarkets !

An incredible variety of gins on display! Wide range of delicatessen goods, delicious pastries and house furnishing items among many other wares - a real surprise and treat to find such a diverse array of merchandise at a petrol filling station! Friendly and helpful staff a bonus! Definitely worth several more visits!

The ladies in this establishment were lovely, especially the lady who doesn't like the motorways. Just really lovely! Nice brews. Even nicer food selection. Nice discount area (I bagged 3 bargains!£15 down to £6!)

This little garage has a great shop with cafe. it services fresh pastries and a local coffee blend that tastes amazing.
Across the car park is the best chip shop I have ever been to. Its a little expensive but the portions and quality more than make up. We recently stopped there and got Large cheesy chips for £3. It was more than enough to feed me, my mother and my niece with chips left over. It also had 2/3 different cheeses and good quality chips.

We stop at this services every time we travel down the A19.

Great locally sourced food which is ever growing and an even better selection of great spirits and beverages. They do a great hamper at Christmas which were a perfect alternative choice to a present. The cheese selection is awesome and the locally sourced pies and meats are a hit!

Surely just having an apple watch isn't sensible in case card machines break or have issues with contactless. Rating a local business 1 star because you didn't have a backup or check is a little disrespectful to any business like this.
