A great local shop, with friendly staff and have almost all of your daily essentials. The products are slightly higher priced because it’s the only shop around for some miles but and overall good shop.
It has a post office inside too along with a cash machine and a place to purchase warm sausage rolls, pies and fresh scones and cakes.

You honestly can't make it up as to how bad this store is now.

During lockdown it went (for me from a 4 to a 1) due to a change in ownership.

I feel so sorry for the locals that work there and are having to constantly apologise due to the terrible management / owners.

Chillers are nearly always broken, stock is ALWAYS bad and expensive, just based on what the "Management," can buy in bulk and sell on.

Here's a thought, you put dips on the shelves, yet have stopped selling something as simple as bread sticks...

Oh don't ask about something as simple as cheese, the management have no idea as to what UK and EU cheeses are or what they go with (hence the dire shelf stock). If you want alcohol or tobacco, you'll likely be OK, for anything else, from what you'd expect from a village store, just take a guess and you may be lucky.

If you're unlucky to encounter one of the "Owner's," Representatives, they've obviously been told to give the line of "We're restock next week." Don't insult my intelligence.

IF you're lucky (and I wish I was joking), you'll be able to get eggs, milk and bread. Yet even this is a challenge most days.

How it's even a viable business now is beyond me. Yet a huge shout out to all of the locals that work there, you're doing your best in an awful situation.

To think the MUCH smaller local stores in local villages always have the necessities compared to this place, is great for them, yet awful for us. It really is that bad.
