Appalling Service – Avoid This Place

I sent a parcel to this shop via Royal Mail, and the tracking confirmed it had been delivered. However, the male shopkeeper insisted it hadn’t arrived and told me to check back the following day. His response was dismissive and unhelpful, raising serious concerns about the reliability of this business.

Whether due to dishonesty or incompetence, I wouldn’t trust this place with my deliveries. I strongly advise others to steer clear.

On Christmas Eve, I needed to buy several LED light bulbs to light up a decoration. Screwfix closed at that time and I went to a DIY store not far from this shop and bought just 1 bulb for £7.99. I thought the go local won't have LED light bulbs but in case let me take my chances! And to my amazement, they had it and it was for £2.99 and £3.99 and I bought 3 more. They rounded it down to £9. The experience says it all..Thank you.

They have some of anything you might need, and Royal Mail collects at 4pm every day. It’s way easier to drop off packages to be collected rather than queue up at the post office.

I totally agree with the bad reviews here. The owner is rude especially the guy (might be the husband) he is racist and talked to me in such a rude way. Treats you depending on your race. They won’t treat you right if you are returning or collecting a parcel. It is close to me but due to that bad experience I refuse coming here again. I’d rather go to the other post office just a few minutes walk from there. This Go Local shouldn’t be a Post Office if they don’t want to do some Post Office service.

i strongly disagree with many of the negative reviews here as i ve been using this lovely shop for so many years and i ve been dropping off so many and collecting a lot of parcels every single day with no issues. Its a very welcoming small FAMILY business whom are no where near "racist" or "sneaky". Im disgusted with the fact that these people run straight to reviews with one bad incident but wouldve never posted a review if they had a good experience. I must say however if you walk into any store trying to boss them around and constantly use their services while having a terrible attitude you would find you wont get served as easily 🤣🤣. Essentially im trying to get the point through that these people are a lovely, caring family business who i have used for years will continue to use for years to come.

Do not agree with the reviews AT ALL. I’m surprised tbh because this is a lovely shop ! They are well stocked up from veg to hardware. I moved here in January and they’ve been so helpful. The husband isn’t as bubbly as his wife but so what lol he’s no different from most shopkeeper. The other owner (his wife) is a ray of sunshine. Let’s go Local is more stocked up than sainsburys every single day ! Im glad this is my local shop.

I went to pay a bill, and i was supposed to get back 14 pounds change and they gave me four instead. After one minute, i went back and they mentioned it was my fault and that they gave me the right change. Unprofessional and sneaky. Such a shame.
