I go in this shop twice daily and admire the tidiness of the store, both outside and inside.

Almost as soon as I have lifted items from the shelves, the items are restocked and faced up.

Saj, the owner and his team are always incredibly courteous. As a mark of respect, I always try to make small talk by avoiding the obvious, “How has your day been?”which I’m sure must drive them nuts but they entertain me with their politeness.

During lockdown I went in there sometimes just to speak to someone other than my dog.

I seldom ever write reviews but felt compelled to do so as I am a Video Joirnalist by trade and think the reviews here must be biased as I have only ever had a great experiences. Swift service with a smile.

The store I believe is open almost every day of the year.

Rudest staff ever. I walked out without buying anything because the guy sat behind the counter questioned me about what I wanted as soon as I walked through the door insinuating I was there to shoplift. My housemate has previous issues with the staff here also. There are two other shops less than a minute away that stock the same stuff - go there instead.

If you still choose to shop here, add up what the total should be before going to the register. MULTIPLE times we’ve been over charged or charged twice for items. Either they’re incompetent (which isn’t great as this is their job..) or they’re doing it on purpose. The amount of times it’s been done it definitely seems like the latter.

Old man sitting behind the counter is angry, sullen and pathetic. Rude for absolutely no reason. Been in 3 times and will never go in again. It is on my way to work but there are more similar shops on that road where the staff are nicer.

Visit 1-walked in and he said 'what do you want' before i'd even got in. When i said i'm going to look at drinks he tutted and gave dirty looks from his seat, so i left because he was being rude.
Visit 2-nobody at the counter, two men smoking outside, waiting at the counter for a while, they had seen me but took their time before coming in to serve me.
Visit 3- Went in this morning, pulled a pack of nuts off the cardboard holder, realized i wanted a different one instead so started to put it back on the holder. Old man behind the counter asks rudely 'why did you do that?' I said it was a mistake and i want the other now, he said 'you have to take that one now' very rudely, so instead i put it on top of the chocolates, told him i wouldn't take either and left heard him swearing as i left.

I havent been working in the area for long, the door has a sign saying under new management, if it really is new management (instead of just saying it is) i cant imagine what the issue was with the last management as this is in no way an improvement.

I hope he reads this and realizes this is no way to run a business, i have no idea why he is so angry all the time, but maybe he should consider doing something else with his life than spending every day full of hate. Truly pathetic nasty person. i will be avoiding at all costs as he doesnt deserve a penny of my money.
