I’ve literally just been in and have encountered one of the most rude interactions with a shop staff in a very long time. .
I was dropping off a Vinted parcel and could sense his impatience whilst I looked for the label on my phone (there was no one else in the shop at the time and it literally took a couple of seconds). No matter, no big deal I thought. But then I asked if I could just take a picture of the label on the package (in case of a dispute with shipping etc). Straight away he asks abruptly why I wanted to take a picture, whilst slapping the label on with no care. I explained the reason (not that he was much interested in listening), as he apologised to the person behind me, a deliberate attempt to make me feel like I was being a nuisance. I let the person behind me get served whilst I took the pic, said ‘sorry, can I just pass this back to you’. He literally grabbed the parcel, tossed it to the side and looked incredible p-ed off throughout the whole exchange. I’ve been in before and the staff member was very friendly so this came as a shock.
Since your customers are literally your business, this person needs to work on his manner. I’m sure I’ll get a response with ‘lol’ as he’s done with other negative reviews, rather than taking the opportunity to improve his customer service skills.

I had an absolutely horrendous experience with this shop, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I had a parcel delivered here through Vinted, and trying to get in touch with them was a complete nightmare. I called three times, and nobody bothered to answer. On the fourth attempt, they finally picked up, but instead of speaking, they left me on the line for two whole minutes while I could clearly hear them serving customers in-store. There wasn’t even an apology for making me wait—they just said, “What do you want? Why are you calling? We can’t speak; we’re too busy.”

I was shocked by how rude they were, but it got worse. As I tried to explain my situation, they interrupted me and said, “Be quicker.” The sheer lack of basic manners, professionalism, or care for their customers was astounding. It felt like they couldn’t have cared less about helping me or showing any respect.

This level of service is completely unacceptable. If they are too busy to manage phone calls, they shouldn’t advertise themselves as a parcel drop-off/pick-up point. The way I was spoken to was rude, dismissive, and insulting. I wouldn’t trust this shop with anything, and I certainly won’t be using them again. Avoid this place if you value decent customer service—you’ll get none of that here. Absolutely disgraceful.

Best corner shop in Archway. No doubt about it. The shop keepers are always happy to chat and are very helpful. They stock something for every occasion (almost). Couldn’t be more proud of this being my local corner shop.

Terrible service and dishonest staff. I went there to pick up money from Western Union yesterday and he told me that they don’t have money because it is late and I should come there early the next day. So even though it was disappointing since I travel from far, I kindly said okay and went there again early today. Now, the guy is still saying they have no money so they can’t help me and it is bank holiday like it has nothing to do with receiving money. Is this a joke? If you’re not going to do Western Union properly, why do you act like you are a branch? This is the worst service I have ever taken and please don’t waste your time by coming here if you are going to send or receive money through Western Union. They are not there to help you but rather to waste your time.

Excellent local store. The owners are very friendly, and especially the lady who works during the afternoon.
Very helpful and kind.
Open until the early hours of the morning every day.
So getting a point of milk at 01:00 is not a problem.

I ordered an item through a shop called Seraphine in May which delivered my order using a service called HubBox via Hermes to the Premier Food Hall in Archway, which is just around the corner from my home. I thought this would be really convenient but unfortunately when I went to collect the item the man behind the counter (who was holding my item) tried to refuse to give it to me on the basis that he said that he did not deal with Hermes. The Premier Food Hall came up as a delivery point option when I selected HubBox through the Seraphine website but unfortunately the man was pretty belligerent and didn't want to give me my parcel (despite me presenting the email evidence that I was the intended recipient). In the end he insisted that I give him 50p to take my parcel, which felt bizarre and a little corrupt (albeit a very small amount!), since I had already paid for the delivery, and it was unclear what this was for. I would avoid getting any parcels delivered to this shop - this wasn't a pleasant experience.

This place is a waste of time. If they don't know you then don't expect a nice service. They do not like to offer Money transfer services either, it's a chore to them. Unfriendly rude and waste of time.
