Best Art Experience Ever,

For some reason I was reluctant to join as a member back in April 2024, maybe I was intimidated by all the kind faces of the people in charge and other members, and maybe I didn't really see myself as a ceramic artist. However, It didn't take long to realise that the friendship and camaraderie was totally genuine and anyone of the members and supervisors will go out of their way to help you out; which I frequently needed as my glazing expertise is very limited but I soon realised that there is something therapeutic when working and creating in clay.
In the short time I have been there the quality of my work and my confidence has grown immeasurably. I even attended a throwing course. I am retired and spend a large portion of my free time in the studio and when I'm not there I am invariably sketching out ideas for my next challenge. Yes, sometimes it doesn't turn out as expected but that's ceramics for you, but on balance I have had my share of successes.
As a new member expect a warm welcome to the studio from Liz and Lisa the co. owners, Nicer people I have yet to meet and their expertise in ceramics knows no bounds. I consider myself very lucky to have found my new home.

Enjoyed a clay throwing experience today. Got struck straight in and had a great time with a ball of clay and loads of water! Plenty of guidance and encouragement from Sophie who made sure we all managed to produce our own ‘unique’ pots. No experience necessary just a willingness to get stuck in and give it a go. Great fun!

From the minute we arrived we were met by the friendliest team ever and it felt as though there was nothing they wouldn’t do to make our experience as enjoyable as possible. We were a group of 9 and were all looked after so well. There was a great range of pottery to paint, every supply you would need, and they even brought our drinks over from the cafe for us so that we could focus on what we were doing. There was no pressure put on us to finish and we all came away with smiles on our faces. The team even went above and beyond to get our pots back to us before we left for home after the weekend. We will definitely be back, and we couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thank you so much 😊

I loved my 6 week beginners course and 5 week throwing course so much that I decided to become a member. A friendly and welcoming studio - no question is too silly - and I ask lots! Sophie is amazing - very helpful and always happy to share her knowledge. The other members are great too - I’m learning lots and loving every minute of it!

I started at Cheshire clay studio with a 5 week throwing course and then a 6 week course to teach clay building and glazing techniques. I was then addicted and joined as a member. I’ve now been a member for a year and lots of fun creating different style pieces. Some have been a success others not so much but learn something each time I make something. It’s a great way to relax and unwind.

Shocking experience. I am a cyclist and received constant comments around how much the teacher/ instructor hated cyclists. She swore repetitively throughout the session. We called twice to ask when our pieces would be ready and were told abruptly that we would be contacted. We have finally collected out items in October, the session was in May! I don’t understand why there is such a lack of common courtesy and manners in what should have been a lovely experience to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Disappointed is an understatement .
