I had a pizza which was absolutely delicious and massive. The crust was beautiful.
The service was mediocre at best. The server seemed completely disinterested. We weren't asked if we wanted fresh drinks or if we wanted the desert menu. We also had to ask for the bill while staff were standing at the bar on their phones.
All that and a £13 service charge which we paid to save face.
As for the atmosphere, the place itself has a cosy vibe, but it's a very compact building, so the tables are very close together, so you're basically sitting with other people.

i absolutely love this place it is my all time favourite. the food is delicious, the waiters and waitresses are lovely and polite and the building itself is gorgeous. i went there for my birthday and they were so sweet gave me desert on the house and sang happy birthday. it’s in a lovely little village and everywhere is so tranquil- especially later at night. i consistently go back to alberto’s because how lovely a place it is. this is my favourite restaurant i’ve ever been to and highly recommend as the food is delicious and affordable

Had a great visit to Don Alberto last night. There was a group of 9 of us and the service was exceptional. The staff couldn't do enough for us including making the birthday girl feel very special with a candle in a free desert and a round of shots. The food was absolutely delicious as per usual - a particular favourite being the rigatoni filetto. 5* would definitely recommend and will be returning.

Our group of 7 celebrated Xmas eve in Don Alberto and we were not disappointed. Great service, superb food and all reasonably priced for the quality. Highly recommended.

The whole meal was let down by the manager present ( fairly new post re-opening). He appeared to be rude, condescending, uninterested and genuinely showed no customer service whatsoever.
He attended the table when he wished despite being politely beckoned and not dealing with other customers ( there were 4 in the restaurant as we came early). He utterly spoilt the evening with his arrogance.
When asking if the owner was present. It was if shutters had come down, challenging me why I needed to know and at no point attempted to ask if there was a problem.

Sadly the restaurant will suffer though many will put up with this behaviour if food is acceptable.
I am hoping that the owner will be aware of actually what goes on at front house.

The food was ok ,but the person that served me with the bad clothing i did'ent like how he spoke to me when i sed i book a table for 2 no need to be sarcastic, i would of walk out but it was my wife birthday ,and watch out for thier high service charge,
