The food was nice but not great. Millionaires brownie was (dare I say it) too sweet. Cheese scone wasn't cheesy enough and had lots of seeds in it. Lovely atmosphere and great service. I would come back again but chose something else from the menu.

It's like entering Santa's grotto, fairyland, and an Aladdin's cave. with a collection of greeting cards, toys, puzzles, games, soft toys, books, Christmas ornaments, local crafts, pottery, etc It also has a cafe.

We all love this shop and cafe, it's such a beautiful place, it's a treasure trove of beautiful gifts for everyone at any age.
The cafe is a lovely eclectic mix.
Went for breakfast, coffee was really good, oatmilk available. Lots of choice and veggie friendly.
French toast was excellent I was informed, I opted for mushroom Florentine I think, although it was delicious 😋 the portion size was very poor, one egg and about 4 mushrooms 🫣
Shame.
Staff really lovely, chilled out vibes were great.
But ouch £41 for breakfast for 3.

It’s been five years since we last visited Yarm and family in the area. Every time we head back there’s always time for a coffee and a tea cake at Strickies. Although various shops have come and gone along the high street, always good to see that this shop remains. My kids especially enjoyed their hot chocolates from the last two weeks.

I grew up in Yarm. Strickies was part of the fabric of the town. We popped in for a coffee just before Christmas. I decided to have a sausage sandwich and coffee. The coffee was good but the sausage sandwich in sourdough was not great. The bread was extremely tough and the knife was blunt. I normal love sourdough but this wasn't good. The sausages were small and only mediocre. They did comp the sandwich which was appreciated and bumped my rating up from a two start.

Asked for table for 3. Offered table in middle of cafe. 76 year old mum struggles with mobility so we asked girl who seated us if we could move to more solid table and chairs round the corner. She said this was fine so we moved and settled only to be told we could not sit there by another gentlemen employee . Explained situation to him, offered another table exactly as the first so left. Staff member concerned seemed to find entire encounter amusing. Very disappointed with the establishment.

Popped in yesterday for a coffee - will certainly be back! Coffee shop is chic, comfortable and reasonably-priced. Toilets were clean. All the staff were very friendly, and service was efficient. Already planning to do some of my Xmas shopping here!
