Nice little shop full of creative items of good quality. Lady was incredibly friendly and helpful… Maybe the negative reviews, created by those who have used a thesaurus to use longer words to describe a simple situation, possibly think due to the shop being in Holt they should be treated like a queen.

A few years ago I purchased a lamp from Make Holt and wanted another one the same.
I sent an email a received one back immediately from a lovely lady by the name of Aviva.
Aviva was extremely helpful, she contacted the makers of the lamp base and the lampshade and liaised with me, sending me information and pictures of possibilities.
She discovered that she had a base in the shop almost the same and was able to get a shade made the same as the one I already had.
The service I received was excellent . I was kept up to date with progress and delivery information at all times.
Thank you so much Aviva and team. I will definitely be visiting you next time I’m in Holt!

Fab shop in Holt. Lots of gift and homeware ideas by local Norfolk artists. Love coming in here for a browse when we visit Norfolk. Lovely range of cards, artwork and homewares.

We walked past once and it was sadly closed but I saw this lovely ‘Beyond the Sea’ print in the window. Luckily though Make Holt have a great website as well, so I’ve been able to order online and get it shipped to my home. Items have arrived well packaged including frame. Absolutely love the Gurneys print from Leanda Jaine - I’m sure it won’t be the last of her prints we buy from Make Holt!!

Gorgeous gallery with affordable pieces. Great for gifts or for a lovely treat for yourself! I was blown away by the eclectic mix of pieces, from ceramics to textiles, lino to pop art. Something for every taste in here. The lady working the shop was very polite and gave me some information about the artist I was buying from. Great store.

I visited Make Holt today and was unfortunate enough to see how the lady working in there spoke to one of the customers, who was just making a polite comment. I was disgusted by the owner/sales lady’s reaction, she was rude and overbearing. I consequently decided not to buy anything, even though the art works and items were very attractive. I cannot imagine in the times we live in that some people think it is acceptable to speak to customers they have never met, in that way. The shop houses attractive items but not, unfortunately, friendly, polite staff.
