By the time of my first fitting, I hadn’t tried on my dress in over a year and was feeling unsure about whether it was still the right dress for me, but from our very first appointment, Elisa was amazing. She meticulously examined my dress from top to bottom, listening to my ideas and offering thoughtful suggestions for alterations to make it the perfect dress. Her incredible knowledge as a seamstress and the sense of calm she gives when you are with her meant I knew I was in safe hands.

One of the biggest changes I wanted was to transform the original sleeves into short puff sleeves. Elisa handled this with such ease and expertise—nothing seemed to faze her and Elisa and her team's incredible work brought my vision to life, making the dress fit me perfectly and made me fall in love with my dress all over again.

I received countless compliments on my dress on the day with some guests even commenting that it looked as though it had been custom-made for me as it fit so beautifully!

Elisa is so skilled and so lovely. She came highly recommended and I am so happy I chose her to alter my gorgeous dress.

Her shop is beautiful, it really enhances the entire experience. The decor is so pretty and the mirrors are so helpful in catching all the angles when inspecting the dress and looking at everything in depth. I had multiple things done to my dress, including shortening of the straps, a full ballroom bustle added, a wrist loop adding, loads off the bottom and the waist taking in. All done to absolute perfection. My dress fit me like a glove.

Elisa was so friendly, nothing was too much trouble. When I was deciding which bustle option to have, she showed me all of them in depth and explained each one. I love the option we went for, it was perfect for my style of dress. She also talked me through how to bustle it on the night, how to use the wrist loop, how to apply a veil etc, all super valuable info.

I had 3 appointments in total, all of which were so much fun. She made me feel at ease and took the time to listen to what I wanted. She asked all the right questions about the fit and how I wanted to feel on the day. I sat down, moved around etc to make sure it was all comfy and fit perfect.

Upon booking, all appointments were booked in so it was easy to schedule everything around the all important dress. She also let me keep all the off cuts so my mum could make them into scrunchies for me!

Elisa is amazing! From the first conversation on the phone i knew I was in safe hands. So professional and organised. She booked all my appointments up front and confirmed by email and all the stress evaporated. At my first fitting we had a lovely chat and a giggle getting to know each other and for someone who is generally a bit shy and reserved I was surprised how quickly I felt completely at ease.
I bought my dress from Harvey's of Ramsey and it was stunning but I needed some help in the bust area and a lot off the length. There was also something not quite right about the waist but I couldn't put my finger on it. Elisa shortened the dress perfectly so that it flowed but didn't drag, reinforced and padded out the bust so it held a much more flattering shape, and added a little beaded belt at the waist which went so perfectly with the dress it was like it should have always been there. She even had a veil to match. I loved my dress from the start, but on me it felt a little uncomfortable and I was nervous to wear it. The alterations and elevation Elisa gave it changed that completely. She made me feel more elegant and confident on my wedding day than I ever imagined was possible. I was so comfortable in fact, that my evening dress never made it out of the bag! Thank you Elisa and team.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Elisa and her team are wizards—there’s just no other way to describe the magic they perform on wedding dresses.

I’m Norfolk-based, and I was told by many people I was being extra for going to Cambridge for my alterations. But booking Bridal Pixie was more than worth it, and I will recommend them to anyone looking for a quality-led and thorough bridal seamstress.

In the first fitting, Elisa goes through every aspect of your dress with a fine-tooth comb. I loved how nit-picky (in a good way!) she was, and she picked up on things to improve that I hadn’t noticed until she said, but in the end made the biggest difference in the overall fit. Her team created new sleeves for my dress, and they turned out exactly how I imagined. They are all incredible at what they do!

Also, it should really be said that Elisa’s approach to alterations is exactly what you want from someone altering what will probably be the most important item of clothing you’ll ever wear. She wants the dress to reflect you, so she was always asking me what I thought, and making sure I was happy.

She was incredibly open-minded, and not once did I feel like I was being pushed or led in any direction by anyone else. As a result I felt so at ease and unworried about my dress, because I knew that when I picked it up it would be a perfect reflection of me.

I love my wedding dress, and it was made all the more special by the Bridal Pixie team making it fit me perfectly. Just book them!

Elisa and her team did an incredible job of altering my dream dress. When I bought my dress, it was two sizes too big and falling off me. From the very first phone call to book my fittings in and to talk through the alterations process, I knew that my dress would be in safe hands. In the first appointment, Elisa spent time carefully pinning it all to make it fit perfectly. As well as taking the dress in and hemming it so it was the perfect length, they also added straps which complemented the dress perfectly. When I picked my dress up in the second fitting, it fit like a dream and on the day I felt so comfortable. One guest commented that it looked like the dress had been made for me, and it really felt like it had! Thanks to the amazing accessory selection at the studio and Elisa's expert guidance, I also bought all of my bridal jewellery and veil here too, this was really nice to be able to try everything on together with my dress, particularly the different veil options. Elisa altered my wedding dress for my May 2024 wedding. I got my dress off Ebay as a discontinued sample, which meant I didn't have a seamstress recommendation from a local bridal shop. A bit of googling plus a glowing recommendation from a colleague brought me to the Bridal Pixie and I'm really glad I trusted Elisa with my dress. It didn't need 'major' alterations, but it did need some adjustments around the bust and straps, plus the many-layered hemline needed straightening. She/the team also sewed in a petticoat for some extra flounce which needed hemming as well.

Before alterations I knew it was a lovely dress but I couldn't quite imagine how it would look on the day because it didn't sit right. At my second fitting it all came together and I knew I had made the right choice. Elisa took a slightly too big dress and made it into something perfect for me - I never wanted to take it off.
