Notcutts is a lovely place to visit, especially at Christmas 🎄 they have some lovely trees, decorations, and also a nice little cafe. We couldn't get a seat in the cafe this time as it was so busy, but normally stop for a coffee and cake 😊 it's almost become a tradition now that us ladies in the family, have a little look around at Christmas time together.
They also have some lovely food gifts here too. Can be a bit expensive, but you do find some different gifts.

Nice walk around, lots on display for Christmas. Some nice gifty things.

The cafe was nicely laid out and good to see that they had a small selection of dairy free treats. The chap who served us was lovely and most apologetic that the cafe was closing early. For a dairy free person the menu would have been limited but for others a good basic selection with baked potatoes, soup, sandwiches etc.
Parking was easy.

Lovely shop to walk around. Has a pet section selling toys and food. An outdoor section with garden furniture and a large selection of outdoor plants. Inside there are lots of indoor plants 🪴. Has a good toy section with a good 👍 range of Jellycat toys and lots of jigsaws. Has a few clothing areas with good quality clothing. A small jewellery selection. Has a cafe ☕️ with a good range of food and drinks. Overall a lovely way to spend a couple of hours, has something for everyone.

Went for a visit and lunch. I know everyone is thinking about Christmas but it was everywhere (24th sept) we stood and looked around sand there was nothing for the garden in sight. Felt the cod and chips was expensive for the portion size, very few chips and not particularly hot. Could do without the paper lining on the plate, it kept getting caught up in the food. It's very noisy when busy but the seats are comfy

Went to buy wild bird feeders... couldn't find one that suited my needs. Also went to restaurant where the queue was lengthy....whilst waiting for drinks, my food was taken to a table...which table...I had the table number on my tray, still waiting for coffee! Another coffee machine would be a good idea...oh, there is one...but not being used! The queue reached the sausage roll fridge! Are they short of staff? If so, recruit more...Notcutts can afford it judging by the prices being charged. May need to look at other venues....

Went for breakfast today and never ever again will I go to the cafe as it was truly awful
Not able to swap mushrooms for something else other than more beans or a tomato was just the first issue. Waited 25 minutes by which time our tea was all drunk and when the two platters arrived we were really disappointed - on mine the beans had clearly been nuked in the microwave, sausage only cooked on one side, eggs all snotty, tomato all dried up and toast was so crispy it just snapped when I put my fork into it. The veggie option was no better with nuked beans, stone cold greasy mushrooms and overcooked sausages.
When we complained about the food we got a shoulder shrug and an ‘I’ll get the manager to come over’ which never happened and in the end we just gave up waiting.

Awful food, awful service and never going back there YUK

We had a delicious, three course Christmas lunch at Notcutts yesterday. Excellent choices, delicious food and reasonably priced for a Christmas menu. The table was beautifully set with a pristine white table cloth, clean cutlery, a cracker and serviettes. Staff and service were excellent. A special shout out to Marie who is always so friendly and bubbly. If there was one slight criticism, the sprouts were slightly underdone. I don't like mine soggy but done of these were hard in the middle. Highly recommend.

Had an enjoyable 3 hrs plus catching upwith an old friend. We all had food and coffee, which was cooked and presented well and in a clean enviroment.
