So disappointed, was recommended so as its our one takeaway this month decided on here. Where to start, the jalfrezi somehow was absolutely bland and almost watery, my partners tikka was so chewy she didn't eat it, but worst of all the stuffed paratha was not stuffed with anything and was ridiculously thick and greasy. Absolutely disgusted and extremely disappointed, normally willing to give a place another chance but needless to say will never be trying again.

We ordered a takeaway for 11 people - the food was delicious and left everyone feeling impressed (many people had not eaten here before!). The staff were extremely helpful over the phone and the delivery driver was friendly. They even threw in a complimentary bottle of wine!

My partner and I often order from here and will definitely continue to do so in the future 🙂

When will Asian restaurants and takeaways learn that their clientele deserve and want better. I placed a simple order for collection.
Lamb Biryani and 2 chapattis. Traditionally, the biryani comes with vegetable curry.
Generally, the biryani was bland and boring. It was missing the fragrance and mouth watering aroma essential for a credible and satisfying biryani. The lamb was underwhelming and frugal, but tender.
The vegetable curry consisted of a few onions and carrot 2 peas and a potato in a tasteless orange coloured sauce, the consistency and taste of baby food. For a little more effort and hardly any more cost, the curry could have been so much more.
The chapatis were good.
As someone of asian descent, I know the chef and the staff would never serve food like this to guests in their own homes and certainly not eat it themselves!
It's about time customers start to expect theMcCoy, the truly wonderful kitchen asians experience every day. If we expect it, restaurants like Shuhag would give it to us, and we would all be happy!

I would advice to anyone that's thinking of eating here not too ,the service is shocking and the food is late at arriving not 20 mins late over a hour from there time of arrival and when you ring up they tell you it's on its way , when you open it, the food is cold so just remember to use your own microwave .the lamb is so tough chuck norris would have a hard time eating it and to top it off we are only 5 mins away .

The food was great. Normally I have no problems with takeaways from here but I had friends round so I ordered for 6 people and waited the 40 minutes as requested, went to pick it up and they hadn't done it so I had to wait another 40 minutes for it to be cooked. They did keep apologising and gave me a bottle of wine for the inconvenience.

Went here with my brother to eat before a few drinks elsewhere. One of the nicest madras I have ever had, friendly and welcoming service and servers prompt with everything. Went down a treat, especially with a couple of Cobra beers! Thank you.
