Having lived in the Hitchin area for over 20 years and owned 5 Audi’s in that time, we continue to be astounded by the poor service of Hitchin Audi. Today was no exception. Simple question, “can I have the digital service record of my car please? The Audi system won’t allow me to access the history as it’s asking for a code I no longer have.
HA: No, not without the V5.
Me: But I’m in the car, have photo ID, have live Audi finance and have had the car serviced here.
HA: You might not still own the car. You can send an email of the V5 instead.
Me: What? I’m in the car, have live Audi finance and have had the car serviced here. How is emailing a V5 proving anything?
Leaves dealership astonished at the non sensical approach and poor service to never return again. FYI a V5 clearly states that its presence is NOT proof of ownership.
Whilst this is a small incident the “computer says no” attitude is indicative of the overall service of this dealership. Best avoided.

I got my Audi back in August and I can’t thank the team enough. When I initially went I viewed some Audis and albeit all were nice but none were sticking out to me. As I left I saw one which was the exact colour and model I wanted. I emailed Chris Dowling to which he said that one had already been sold but he came back and advised me a brand new 24 plate in that exact colour and model was going to be there in a couple of weeks within the same day. Not only that but the price so reasonable too. The process was so smooth and quick, every team member I encountered was so helpful and kind it made such a difference with choosing my car!! Can’t thank everyone enough and would always recommend going to Hitchin Audi for their car 🙂

I would like to recommend the Garage, particularly the service department. The service department carried out a routine checkup of my car, providing excellent care. The staff member Lucas ensured the procedure was completed smoothly to the highest standards. I received my car shiny and ready to be driven again.

A dealer I will never use or go to again! The lack of communication is probably the worst I have ever experienced. Reserved a car which had a recall, wasn’t an issue for me and I was happy to wait for the work to be finished but I am the one who had to keep chasing for an update calling every few days being promised of a call back with information, but no one called back! When I cancelled the reservation they didn’t even refund us within their stated 3-5 days. Of course I had to call on the 6th day to find out what was going on and to my shock it wasn’t even processed! Ended up receiving the refund 8 working days after cancellation. Worst dealer I have ever experienced, wasted my time and money!

Bit of a mixed bag really, was discussing cars for my wife with a sales man via email, went in and test drive a couple of cars, they were very helpful and knowledgeable, let us both have the opportunity to drive. The wife spent a couple of days thinking about what she really wanted, a few days later I email through a spec and asked that they see if anything was available that met the spec, never heard from the again. Clearly have more customers than they need.

Update: shortly after leaving this review they contacted me to state it would be almost impossible to find that spec used and would need to buy new, we have seen two used cars to that spec in the time it took them to reply.

Azim was a massive help, he is very down to earth, caring and he supported me so much.. I bought a faulty car from Arnold Clarke and Azim was very supportive. He also got others in the team to assist me to find a solution for me. Very kind and helpful team!! They do care!

Also Leigh is a very sweet man. He cares about what we want and what is affordable for us. Very happy to help us. Great people

After booking my vehicle in for an MOT and air con service (due to fault with air con) I was informed the equipment used for the air con service was down. At the time apologies were provided and my MOT was supplied at no cost to myself. I rebooked my car in at the next available time ( 2-3 weeks later). After discovering the fault with compressor I was the informed the “claim” had been submitted with Audi for approval. So was advised I could collect the vehicle again with fault still existing and would need to await for an approval that the work could be carried out under my warranty. This will mean yet again arranging another appointment, no doubt in another 2weeks+ for the work to be carried out and the fault finally fixed. I have been using Hitchin Audi group for 15yrs+ but in recent years finding the service experience very frustrating. This process of Audi approving work and requesting customers collecting cars with faults and having to rebook is not the experience or the reasons I have continued to purchase Audi’s and also use this particular showroom. Very disappointed.
