Upon arrival the hotel looks nice. We went in and decor was pleasant in reception. We checked in with friendly staff then you start to smell the damp when going to room. The room decor very outdated , stained carpet greeted us , one electric fire to heat the whole room whixh was quite cold after finding the window open.
We booked for swimming on arrival the pool was warm and facilities where great.

We had been out during the evening and decided we would grab a drink from the bar . This was quickly a no with children running around the entrance at 10.20pm at night - not something you want when thinking if sitting in the bar for a quiet drink.

Slept relatively well did feel the cold though.

Breakfast was a good selection of meats , fruits cereal and cooked items.

Feel like to attract more people needs investment put into it.

Last week myself and my husband stayed in Hilton Leicester. All the staff were so friendly and really cared about their guests. Thank you so much Corina for a smooth check in and for all your help. The receptionists were constantly asking if we needed anything in any way. The room was very comfortable. They have a restaurant, which served a delicious breakfast, the pool is small but nice. We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

The Worst Hilton Ever. Do not stay here if you have mobility issues like my husband. Not one room has a shower you can walk into so if you are disabled forget this place even though I booked needing a disability room 4 different rooms in 48 hours.
1 room 173 was not even open to public but we got put in there it did have shower
! but no heating just an electric plug in heater. We were told its a trial room well if that's the finish of a new room I think the designer needs sacking.
The Hotel apart from, reception is old tired and lacking in love. I can't believe it has the Hilton name above the door.
The place needs triple glazing noise from the road is horrendous like sleeping on the hard shoulder.
You will see the standard of the room is beyond inadequate 4 stars it's not even got a twinkle let alone a star.
We were given our second night and dinner for free but truly it wasn't worth that. Stay in a travel lodge it will be cleaner!
How can you let a room like we were given? Stained carpet mould and ripped curtains it was like a bad dream. I have videos and photos I will be emailing head office
.So much for a romantic birthday stay.
A plus however Most of the staff were polite. Sadly not the Head waiting lady at breakfast she put the frost into frosty openly discussing guest behaviours with her colleagues. Not appropriate or necessary. Slag the great British public off In private Please...
Outside is just as bad view out of window bricks and paving so uneven it wouldn't be suitable to walk on. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians is the saying people.
Get this place on upgrade and now! Before your credibility is gone for good I wish I had read latest reviews. I would not have booked.
And let's not mention the christmas tree that any three year old would have been proud of decorating it was so awful management were taking it down.

Me and my partner stayed here for the weekend. This was a gift from a friend. Unfortunately, this was not a brilliant stay.

Let me start with the positives: the staff were all lovely and went the extra mile with everything we asked for. The main reception was nice and plenty of space.

The negative how bad it sounds:

We stayed in Room 245. As soon as we walked in you could smell the dampness we noticed the mould around the windows. ( Which doesn't help with my partner's asthma). The floors had so many stains. The bed itself we could feel every spring so neither of us had a good night's sleep. My partner was going to sleep on the sofa bed when he pulled it out the mattress had a massive dirty stain on it. The shower walls were yellow and the shower was full of limescale. You couldn't turn the shower heat up and to get any warmth you had to run the bath first.

The pool was very cloudy you could not see. I work in a pool so know it shouldn't be like that. And I've ended up with an ear infection. Tiles were missing around the edge as well

The hotel is tired and run down and needs some tender loving care a refurbishment is needed. As it does not live up to the Hilton name.

When we complained when leaving we was told it is getting a refurbishment soon. Unless we see or hear on the improvements we won't be staying again

Rooms are getting a bit dated. Terrible shower. Nice pool but you need to book it or you might miss out. Decent breakfast but cheap orange cordial instead of fresh orange juice. ÂŖ6 per day parking charge. Any excuse to squeeze a bit of extra cash out of the customers! Close to Fosse retail park. Good park and ride for city centre close by too. No hairdryer in room. Pleasant staff.

Whilst the location and overall appearance of this Motel style hotel are excellent, I have to say that the room we stayed in was dated and somewhat shabby. The bed and pillows were comfortable, but the carpets had seen better days, and the room really needed refurbishment. I go into detail because I used to work in the industry.
This is a shame because Leicester is a prime city, and Hilton is a top hotel name.
I did, however, have a look at the leisure facilities, with a view to future use, and found them to be very clean and inviting.

So I stayed again because I had one night down here and a colleague was already staying|It is definitely the last time. |The place is terrible, run down dated and not cheap. |The communal area had no heating and it was freezing, little staff and a characterless setting.|You've got to be desperate to stay here or work is paying. Shocking!! Loyalty program you can keep it Hilton.|Breakfast was under staffed, I was in first thing, the coffee machines were dirty, definitely not cleaned at the end of service and one needed attention so there was a massive queue for the machine that was working. |The reception staff were great and the pool/gym is the only plus.||

Overall? Really good but slightly spoiled at check-in when we discovered that the (central?) bookings clerk (done by telephone) hadn't passed on the information I had provided, about my disabled partner, to the hotel. He doesn't need a wheelchair, but we were still allocated an unsuitable room and the scramble took some time to resolve. However, the desk clerk was so very helpful and went the extra mile to help us. She was wonderful. The remainder of the stay was excellent, with friendly staff, good service and, eventually, a good room with comfortable beds and plenty of pillows. Not sure why the TV had to be quite so big, though! Breakfast particularly good. However, the new "accessible" rooms here aren't accessible to wheelchair users so don't be confused by the language. There isn't space in the bedroom for a wheelchair to move around, and the bathroom is tiny, with no grab rails and only a walk-in shower – no wet room.
