Tucked away from the main road and located within the station this tea room does not disappoint.

Very welcome staff. Quality food. Great atmosphere.

A delightful find (taken by family, returned with a month, will come back here again!) - attentive service, well-cooked food at reasonable prices (especially the home-baking!)...hidden away off the beaten track, this is not just for the railway enthusiast. Retaining the appeal of unspoilt period charm (think 'Brief Encounter' I said. My niece looked at me blankly...) with a host of railway memorabilia on display, it offers a delightful step back in time. Take the opportunity to wander along the platform and browse around the Waiting Room and second display room. Go soon, this tea-room will undoubtedly get busier...

Simply delicious food, cooked and presented well, food allergies taken seriously and catered for. You will not leave hungry, best breakfast around served with a mug of coffee and plenty of toast and jam too. Great friendly table service. Plenty of free parking. We will definitely go back, very friendly atmosphere.

Wonderful food and a wonderful location. Stayed 4 nights at The Yorkshire Sleeper and enjoyed several cups of tea, breakfast, and butty’s throughout our stay. We will be back.

EDIT 12-06-21 Fully reopened after enforced closure because of Covid regulations. Now with a secure one way system in place, ample supplies of sanitizer and the same warm friendly welcome.

A quirky unique experience, worth a special visit, and excellent if you’re waiting for a daytime train on the otherwise desolate station. (Closed Mondays). Equally ideal if you’re into spotting the many heritage trains that come through the junction. Don’t be put off by the dire approach up the station ramp under the platform.
The cafe has an excellent selection of basic but very warming foods and it’s served quickly and with a smile. It’s accessible to people of limited agility (including wheelchair accessible) and the toilets are also accessible and on the same level.
In warmer weather there is the opportunity to eat at tables on the railway platform.
Adjacent to the cafe is a series of rooms with railway memorabilia and books, and a little playroom for children.
Definitely somewhere I would go again.

An amazing cafe on Hellifield railway station. We had the Fireman's breakfast. A simple dish done very well using super tasty quality ingredients. It comes with tea and toast included. Lovely friendly service and great home baked cakes as well. Fantastic collection of railway photographs, books and artifacts.
There is also a holiday let above the station, the Yorkshire Sleeper. We had a fantastic week there. It's a great base for walking the Dale's or getting the train to Settle, Skipton or Keighley. When you return from your day there are a couple of comfortable chairs on the platform where you can watch the world go by from your own private railway station, absolute bliss

My first visit to the restroom, this place is railway themed and takes you back to another era we only called in for a brew and a coffee the service was good other peoples meals looked spot on with plenty of choice, this cafe is dog friendly with its own resident hound by the name of Benji there is seating both inside and out the toilets were clean with works of art on the walls and fascinating toilet roll holder. I will be back and will go for a full meal.

Lovely friendly staff and great value for money. It's not fancy, but nice and relaxed and plenty of railway memorabilia if you're into that kind of thing.
