Wednesday lunchtime was busy and had a good atmosphere. Well laid out with varied and different seating dotted around . Decorated well in a contemporary style, additional outside seating. Staff friendly and helpful. Food boards were tasty and coffee lovely. A great addition to the area .

Had a lovely experience here yesterday. Waitress was very helpful. The food was flavoured and seasoned so so so well! I’d love to come back when I’m back in Bedford in a few months. Selected items on the menu were halal!

My first time here and it won’t be my last! Clean, modern cafe area which is a bit echoey. A varied menu offering more than just a sausage or bacon bap.

I’d recommend the French toast but will be trying the hash next time. The Biscoff one has a caramel sauce, Biscoff biscuit, strawberry and banana kebab stick and a dollop of cream. It was sweetish but funnily not as sweet as the pistachio toast.

The waitress was friendly. I’m hoping the chef does a bacon, maple and toasted pecan nut version….

Emma was fantastic, very helpful and made an excellent coffee! The place was very comfortable and clean with some great (subtle) music playing too! If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely be back.

My wife and I arrived at Bridges this morning without booking a table, this was not a problem as we were accommodated by the staff without question. My wife ordered the multi seed sourdough bread. However when it arrived it was clearly not sourdough. When my wife pointed this out to Alice and Retina two of the servers, Alice was very apologetic and she immediately offered to change the order. My wife declined as she didn't want to make a fuss. When we received our bill from Retina she informed me my wife's order had been removed and was given free of charge. This I deem as excellent customer service. After a previously disappointing visit to Bridges, this level of customer service in my opinion is paramount for a successful business to thrive and will ensure a regular flow of happy customers.
Having dined for breakfast before at the Albero lounge and eaten their classic favourite Shakshuka, it was interesting to see that Bridges have now updated their menu to include this popular dish.
I felt compelled to order the Shakshuka only to compare the two in presentation and taste. My conclusion when comparing the two dishes was that both delivered on taste and presentation and I would not hesitate to order the Shakshuka from either in the future. If I really wanted to nit pick, I would have to say the I would prefer my Shakshuka to be serviced with ciabatta bread. However overall in my opinion both dishes were a success!!!!

I took my wife to Bridges this morning for breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful, and Sian was attentive to are needs as usual. Bridges had a varied breakfast and brunch menu at what we felt were reasonable prices. I ordered 'the meadow' which was nice twist on a traditional English breakfast/brunch. For a relaxed and friendly atmosphere then Bridges is right up your street.

Once again we attend Bridges for breakfast and once again they pull out all the stops!!! This is how an eggs benedict should be presented. Pen and Cob take note!!

31/5, We arrived at Bridges around 10.30 where breakfast was still being served. However having spoken to our server who was very polite and helpful, she said it was fine to order from the lunchtime menu. So I decided to order the Lebanese shredded lamb flat bread with roasted peppers. I was not disappointed with my choice. The lamb was very tender, nicely spiced and seasoned perfectly with a nice touch of pomegranate seeds scattered across the top to add a touch of sweetness and luxury. Another pleasurable visit. Compliments to the chef!!!

Unplanned lunch for 4 at Bridges, a busy cafe in the square with seating both inside and out. We were sat at a high table straight away by the helpful and plentiful staff. For an Espresso Bar it serves a good selection of food and “sshhh don’t tell everyone” ‘possibly the best Beef Burger in Bedford’. That’s a big boast I know but I have tried quite a few in and around Bedfordshire and this was superb with all the trimmings (Burger Sauce, Gherkins and a choice of cheeses. (See the pictures) The herby chips on the side were also excellent. Onion Rings a tad greasy but I will forgive this as the Lotus Biscoff milkshake was also spot on! The chicken wraps were really tasty although my wife says she would have liked a bit of Mayo/Ranch dressing or something like that inside the wrap as it was an all dry filling. Would recommend and return. Didn’t get to try the coffee… will do next time.
