Good food and nice vegan options. Service was very busy when we arrived due to a town event but we were served in reasonable time.

Unfortunately there was no baby change in the men's toilets which made looking after my child very difficult.

This evening I called to ask if we could attend with our dog and I was told that they were too busy and that there was no room for us, not even standing (he didn’t even ask how many people). We passed by either way and there was plenty of space with more than half the tables empty. The manager/supervisor who greeted us was rude and clearly had no interest in welcoming customers or doing his job. He said they had to set up all the tables and that it would be at least 45 mins until a table would be available for us. We would have waited if he’d been polite but his poor attitude made us decide to go elsewhere. Real shame that such a lovely pub is losing out customers due to one individual.

Stayed one night over the weekend, as we were helping family in the area. Knew nothing about the area, and this was suggested they Booking.com. Hotel kindly upgraded us to the Superior room, one of four rooms available. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and very welcoming to our dog. Would definitely stay again.

Quite disappointing food on a Sunday- was looking forward for a pizza, but after ordering it( as advertised on a Sunday menu!) was told they don't do pizzas on Sundays (?!)
Opted for steak and chuck burgers- worst burgers ever- overcooked, dry, hard and tasteless! The quality of the food doesn't match the price at all!! Not once we were asked if we are happy with the meal. Felt ripped off!Not recommended ?

Overpriced for what it was .Will not be returning .

This is a dog friendly pub. Friendly staff a menu with variety food came out hot, tasty and portion was adequate sticky toffee a must with their rum sauce would love to come back and try roast dinner here.

The steak burger was well cooked and garnished well, chips hot and fluffy with a pinch of salt, just what you need in a burger. Worth the drive

Stopped here with my Bro-in-law for a pint and a Pizza. The pub is nice, following the refurbishment. Not sure if it is a 'drinkers' pub, as many of the tables in the bar were reserved and there were not that many bar stools. They do serve 2 of our favourite beers, which is a plus.

Staff were super friendly and we ordered a couple of pizzas that we ate in the restaurant. They were honest, in that they only had one chef for a period and that the food would be a little delayed. In practice, a 2nd chef turned up and the pizza's came out pretty quickly. They were really tasty.

The place looked like it was totally accessible for a wheelchair (my wife is in a wheelchair, and we struggle to find older pubs that are accessible). I might bring here here for a meal.
