Only reason I went there was to drop my grandson at the cinema. While waiting I thought I would have a look around the shops. Quite a disappointing place. Not much of a variety . Had coffee and then sat in car to pick up my grandson 3 hours later. Won't be in a hurry to visit again I am afraid.

Big shopping mall just a stone throw from the universities in Kent. It is strategically located by England coastal area, making it a great vicinity for both shopping & leisure.
Popular brands in food & fashion are well represented and it's a market for every category of people - rich vs not-so-rich, fashion-shy vs fashion aristocrats etc

This is a popular place to visit.

There is a large car park and has at least 50 disabled parking places. Car parking tariffs have now been introduced.

0 to 1 hour 30 minutes: Free
1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes: £1.25
2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours 30 minutes: £2.50
3 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours 30 minutes: £4.00
Up to 5 hours: £5.00
Over night: £10.00

Blue Badge holders can register and then have 2 x 3 hours free parking per week.

You can get 4 hours parking for £1.25 when validated at the Odeon Cinema.

There are a variety of retail shops such as, M & S Outlets, Clarks, Peacocks, Choice, Roman, Trespass, Moda, The Range and others.

Plenty of cafes and restaurants such as Costa, Starbucks, Nandos, Subway, Pizzahut and Burger King.

There is a cafe called Ru Cafe and is located on the ground floor. This is a very popular cafe and is usually busy. The staff are polite and the service is good!

Another good cafe is The Panini Brothers which is situated upstairs. They provide a wide range of such things as Baguettes, toasted sandwiches, paninis etc.. Well worth popping in if you fancy a drink and something to eat.

There are public toilets, including disabled. These are upstairs next to Burger King. There is a lift as well as escalators, these are situated at the main entrance.

If you like watching films you are in luck. There is an IMAX cinema with 9 screens. The entrance is located next door to Costa's.

For the children there is a trampoline centre. It is called Flip Out Trampoline Park and is located at the end of Pier 5.

You can get a No. 1 or 2 bus to Dockside from the Chatham Waterfront Bus Station which is situated across the road from the Pentagon Shopping Centre.

While at Dockside you can visit the Marina or even the Historic Dockyard which is close by.

There is also a distillery called The Copper Rivit. It is a rather new addition, I believe it has only been open for about 3 years and offers a good product, well worth a visit I have been told.

By the way Sunday opening times are between 11 and 5! So don't get there too early, especially on a rainy day!

The food options in and around the mall is great, can be a nice place to hangout with friends and family for lunch or dinner. Not many shops to offer your shopping needs though. Overall it is okay.

This outlet centre has reasonable shops, however the general feeling is of a 1990s shopping centre.

Pavers was well stocked and busy

The car park was difficult to find
