I live in deapest SW France and I've traced your mature Cheddar through the the code on pack. . Much as I love French cheeses I have yet to find a crumbly cheese with a bite that matches yours, not too strong, a cheese one can break with a biscuit, or fresh crusty bread and a glass of good beer.

If this is the same cheese sold in Aldi, then it is the worst cheese myself and all my cheese loving mates have ever tasted. And we are lovers of stilton, mature cheese, stinky strong cheese. This cheese none of us could eat as it was so bitter. It was thrown away. Never have we tasted bitter cheese. It was disgusting

Very highly recommended. Rural farm shop with car park that has basic goods including newspapers. But the real star of the show is the cheese. Farm shop is next door to Barber's cheese factory, exceptional cheese. The extra mature cheddar is unbelievable, everyone that tries it says "its the best cheese I've ever had", my Michelin star chef uncle confirms this! mis-shapen chunks pack a surprise, also a variety of soft cheeses on offer. I always stop when passing anywhere close by.
