Shops that were there are good but shame to see so penny shops gone.
Went looking for the works today to find them gone. And so menny others. Hope new shops move in soon. So would of been more. We got things we needed just ashamed so little shops it use to be magical as children.

My memories of here were of a very busy and vibrant shopping venue, sadly it seems that a lot of shops are closed and the atmosphere has ghost town feel about it - such a shame. The shops that are open are still great and some lovely bargains to be had.

We call at Hornsea Freeport after we've been to Whitby for Goth weekend just for a leg stretch and walk round shops and have a cuppa and a piece . Every year there are less shops due to closures. Think we will have to review our stop off next year, didn't take long at all to have look around, shame used to have some lovely shops with unusual gifts, nearly all shops with reduced designer gear, not a designer people so really a lot of shops we have no interest in.

I would say 90% of the outlets were empty. There seemed to be a lot of people about so I can only think they were there for the cafe or play area. The cafe was very good, nice food and drinks. Just a shame the rest of it was a waste of time. Which is a shame because it could be so nice!

A brilliant place with lot's of parking spots and many modern shop's covering everything that one would require in the shopping square there is plenty of seating to rest one's legs, or if it's a drink you want then there's three cafe's getting around in a wheelchair no problem at all.its well worth a visit today 17th September 2020 we had a ham and cheese toastie with a side salad with a hot drink at the brewers kitchen and deli in the centre of Hornsea free port, tables and chairs had been arranged outside but there was seating indoors to a track and trace system was in use along with the sanitising station keeping everyone safe the food was fabulous worth a second vist 7th of Aug 2024 it's some time since our last visit and what a difference between previous visit a lot of shop's closed including cafe's it requires a well known shop to move there and get the crowds back failing that a miracle so sorry to see it as it is today

This used to be a good place but alot of the shops are now closed and not used . The East Yorkshire council are probably charging too much rent that the shops find it too hard to justify being there.
If only the council would be sensible and fill the shops at a lower rent and more people would go and spend money there but as it is its a failing retail park due to greedy council . Such a shame

I will admit there are empty shops here however…… I have recently spent a really enjoyable morning at the Freeport and really do rate it 5* for anyone on holiday or particularly families. Took my nephew (age 7) to pottery painting at The Potteries, we then went to Bugtopia before having a refreshment stop at Hopfrog where we also enjoyed a look around and game of Jenga with our hot chocolate & milkshake! Great to have such activities on the doorstep and all inside if it is a rainy day! If we had longer we could have popped to the Beach Cove too.
I often pop up to Poundstretcher and The Works and although more shops would be amazing the ones that are there often have some brilliant bargains in!

Lovely place for a wander round. Some very nice shops. Delicious breakfast at the cafe. I think a home decoration store would do well here.
Nice gift shop and soft play place for children. Free parking so you don't need to rush around, which is nice, plus clean accessible public toilets.
