This is such a unique shop with beautiful wares and clothes. The variety of things from baby clothes and toys, to skincare, clothes and candles is impressive. Everything has been carefully chosen and the prices are fair and considered. Also the woman who runs the shop is so lovely. This place is such an important part of our high street. Well done Alkemi! They deserve all our support.

I loved coming today into Alkemi. I had to find a gift for a friend and I think I found the perfect thing for her. I did my own searching but it was really nice talking to the shop assistant, she was really kind and personable.

The Asian inspired designs of homeware and beauty stuff are beautiful, and I can imagine the children section would make a fine gift for kids.

Friendly staff, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and beautiful display items from various parts of the world -in particular from Japan and Korea. They sull niche stuff or things which are no longer available in other (online) retailers & at reasonable prices.
They add the spice to Nunhead High Street, with something difficult to find elsewhere.

What a beautiful, light-filled space brimming with warmth! Trendy, simple, and thoughtful designs for clothing, house-ware, etc. The owner of the shop truly makes the shop what it is. Her dedication to her work shines through in her personal visits to Japan, France, and Korea to procure the best items for her store. I could not recommend a visit here more! I will be returning soon for a purchase, since I can’t go to Korea!

A fantastic arrange of unusual gifts and homewards sourced from Japan and Korea - items I have never seen anywhere else. Also a great range of men's and women's clothing, as well as baby clothes. Really wonderful shop with attentive, friendly staff.

This shop has some nice things but they are very disorganised. The only two times I’ve been here (today and last year) I’ve had problems. Both times I called ahead to make sure they had the items I want in stock and once I’ve arrived (not easy to get to for me) it turns out they don’t actually have what I wanted. Very frustrating and time wasting.

I went into this shop today to buy a gift for my wife. The owner could not have been more helpful or lovely to my daughter. Allowing her to help with the wrapping and taking a genuine interest in her ideas. The merchandise here is superb and the service never less than first class.

Lovely shop. Carefully curated selection of clothes and household goods. Everything is very simple, but with great attention to form.

What makes this store, however, is the owner, who is always friendly, kind and happy to offer recommendations. Great to have in the neighbourhood.
