Absolutely abysmal customer service by the woman serving . I had a broken Dewalt combi drill which I was returning after two weeks from purchasing it . I already knew I was going to have problems as I walked into the store. The look she gave as I approached the counter, as if I was bringing in a dead body . She was adamant that I wasn’t entitled a refund or replacement , and that the only service she could offer me was to send it off for repair which would have taken the best part of a couple of weeks. I even pointed out to her on the the A1 poster by the tills in large font , the part that says a 30 day back guarantee to replace or money back , she said , no sorry that’s old , we’ve been told to only repair them . In the 5 minutes I was in there , at no single point did I feel like she wanted to help me . In fact she looked like she didn’t want to be there at all , completely lacking any resemblance of customer service skills.
I took my drill back off her , got in the car , and contacted customer service, who were the complete opposite, warm , friendly and helpful. The young lady also knew the Policy ,of which of course I was entitled to a new replacement or money back . I politely asked the agent if she could contact the woman at the store and inform her of my rights to a replacement.

Unfortunately if this woman is customer facing , she is letting this store down , I’m 100% positive I’m not the only one who’s had issues with her . My gut feeling is , it’s a regular occurrence.

Staff always seem to be rude. If you use the self check in thing then you just get ignored as they seem to only serve people who queue up. Never had any of these issues in other Screwfix branches. One member of staff even said out loud in front of customers ‘I don’t get why people come in on a Sunday, don’t they have anything better to do,’

I conveniently completed a Click & collect order with Screwfix (Sevenoaks) on a Sunday! Really handy as I’m really busy being a father plus working Six days a week atm too. Good, Fast & Friendly staff at this branch

Tried to buy a simple, normal, 25mm screw or something close to that, as I wanted to put up a shelf we bought somewhere online. 10 mins on with the guy measuring up my support, looking at the computer, going up and down to his stock at the back, to then be told "we don't supply this size of screws".

I asked, "how come? It's just a normal, simple screw" to then be told "You'd think by our name that we'd have all type of screws right? But no."

This conversation is a reason for laugh at my office whenever someone mentions screws or Screwfix.

I managed to get what I need just around the corner, at Magnet Trade (the guys there couldn't also believe what I had been told at Screwfix!).

Very convenient to have it nearby, a huge range of diy stuff, available at the click of a mouse. Collection is usually an hour or so later, they notify you by sms when your stuff is ready. Great shop for the tradesmen as well as for diy.

THERE TO HELP - BEST SERVICE EVER!

I am 75 and always getting things from this branch for my husband. I order on line and collect, but when I have questions about any of the products - every person there has always been helpful. Won't go to any DIY stores if Screwfix has what we want. Good opening hours too!

The four staff that were present on Sunday 6th January were truly commendable. Unfortunately the item that I wanted was not in stock. However, from alternative suggestions, due back date and places nearby by to purchase, this was service at its highest level. Thank you for this experience.

Visited during the week and the person who served us wasn't very understanding or helpful... bad experience then.
However, the youngsters who were serving on Sunday were brilliant, very helpful!
