The food is excellent, and our 4 meals were served on nice hot plates by friendly staff.
Lovely pub with a great atmosphere, and the food is awesome.
As a retired Executive Chef, I think this pub has a very talented chef and hard working staff behind the scenes, and I highly recommend it.
A great find.

A very nice family run pub, not too expensive the only downside was I had the pie and a bit of veg (half of the amount in the photo as they put 2 sides of veg in one) but it didn't fill me up needs to be a bigger portion, apart from that it was delish!.

What a treat. My wife and I came here during our honeymoon and we never wanted to leave. Amazing food, spectacular service, and some of the kindest people I have ever had the pleasure to meet.

What a little hidden gem between Salisbury and Bournemouth. Lovely friendly welcoming staff, exceptional food with so much choice all freshly cooked and you could tell and so reasonably priced! Just wonderful in every way! Can’t recommend highly enough.

A strong contender for the worst meal out I've ever had. I ordered pate on toast as a starter. The toast was stone cold. The pate was unlike any pate I've had before as it resembled dog food in look and (probably) taste, though I naively told myself it was because it was homemade and an acquired taste. I should have known better. The main was a medium-rare steak that was greyish brown where it should have been pink. The chips were OK, however once we got near the bottom of the shared bowl we noticed a lot of dark hairs. The barman apologised and said he'd point this out to the owner/chef. A couple of minutes later he came back with the explanation from the owner that the dog had got loose in the kitchen! He did seem quite surprised that we clearly considered this to be disgusting rather than a perfectly reasonable explanation. He was a nice guy who seemed embarrassed by the situation he was put in and knocked one of the mains and a round of drinks off the bill, though in hindsight we should have made more of a fuss; I'm left having to hope that we haven't eaten too much on-the-turn meat and dog hair, as well as having a niggling doubt over whether I was served dog food as a starter.

Always a friendly place that you feel at ease with. The menu is extensive so spoilt for choice. We had the goat curry and throughly enjoyed it. Glenford is a great host. Kevin and Jane.
